Pope Francis issues UNHOLY response to Castro’s death

Print Friendly

Fidel Castro is dead, but his ideology lives on. While liberal leaders worldwide were praising the man for his commitment to “social justice,” Donald Trump took a more blunt approach, reminding us that his legacy is “one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty, and the denial of fundamental human rights.”

In other words, Fidel did all the things liberals fear Trump is going to do – but don’t seem to mind. You know, the Cuban citizens have free healthcare and universal literacy so it’s somehow worth it (yes, they’re really making this argument).

The man was, for lack of a better word, unholy. But listen to the Pope’s response to Castro’s death, and you’d get the impression we just lost a hero.

Via Reuters:

Pope Francis said the death of Cuba’s revolutionary leader Fidel Castro was “sad news” and that he was grieving and praying for his repose. Francis expressed his condolences in a Spanish-language message to Fidel’s brother, President Raul Castro on Saturday.

The pope, who met Fidel Castro when he visited Cuba last year, said he had received the “sad news” and added: “I express to you my sentiments of grief.” Fidel Castro, who was a professed atheist, was baptized as a Catholic and educated in schools run by the Jesuits, the religious order of which the pope is a member.

Indeed – the man is torturing dissidents in a better place now.

We’ll keep our grieving and prayers for the tens of thousands Fidel killed.
